Tell-Tale Heart Mock Trial In-Person

THE TELL-TALE HEART MOCK TRIAL

Poe Museum Education Coordinator Dean Knight will give a dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe's great story "The Tell-Tale Heart" in the format of a murderer on trial for his life.  Participants will serve as judge, defense and prosecuting attorneys, and jury to decide whether the narrator of the story is guilty or not guilty by reason of insanity.  Knight will also discuss aspects of Poe's life and work, including his time in Richmond, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York, and take questions from the audience.
